Leeds will be “desperate” to keep Jack Harrison beyond September’s transfer deadline, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke. The £60,000 per-week star has become a key player for the Elland Road outfit in recent years, but he’s been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are interested in signing Harrison, who scored 10 goals in all competitions last season.
The report states that Eddie Howe’s side are prepared to launch a £20m offer for the ex-Manchester City ace, although it’s likely to fall short of Leeds’ asking price.
But after losing Raphinha to Barcelona last week, O’Rourke doesn’t think that Jesse Marsch will want to see Harrison exit the club, too.
