The Saudi Pro League has seen an influx of European stars joining this summer in a £300million spending spree. The likes of Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, Jordan Henderson and Karim Benzema have moved to the middle east in the last few weeks and months, following Cristiano Ronaldo's high-profile transfer to Al-Nassr earlier this year.
The former Manchester United man said at the end of his debut campaign in the country that the Saudi Pro League had the capabilities to challenge the very best European leagues.
Ronaldo said in July via ESPN: "The Saudi league is better than MLS. I opened the way to the Saudi league, and now all the players are coming here. "In one year, more and more top players will come to Saudi.
