Opening has been an issue for the Knight Riders in the last couple of games. With Jason Roy warming the bench, the managment might just think about giving the explosive England batter a chance at the top with the hopes of turning their fortunes around in the match against Delhi. Roy, who came into the team as a replacement for Shakib Al Hasan, is yet to feature in the 16th edition of the league.
Mumbai Indians will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL 2023 match on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After facing consecutive defeats in their first two matches, the Rohit Sharma-led side registered it's first win after they defeated Delhi Capitals in their previous match. MI, who are already dealing with the absence of their senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah, are also missing out on the services of pacer Jofra Archer, who has been out of action, since the campaign opener.
Dinesh Karthik has not enjoyed a good run of form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and the veteran cricketer added a rather unwanted record to his name during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru on Saturday. Karthik was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav for a golden duck and it was the 15th dot for him in the competition. Karthik is currently tied with Mandeep Singh as the batter with the most number of ducks in IPL history. Both Rohit Sharma and Sunil Narine are second in the unwanted list with 14 ducks to their names.
The Aiden Markram-led SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) eye back-to-back wins as they take on the high-flying Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on the road at the Eden Gardens on Friday. SRH strong on paper after some big buys like Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klaasen at the auction. Boosted by the win, the 2016 champions would look to hold on to their winning momentum and give KKR a strong fight at home. However, with just one win in three outings so far, SRH haven't been on top of their powers.
Gujarat Titans stand-in skipper Rashid Khan won the toss and elected to bat first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. Gujarat Titans are undefeated in the IPL 2023 after playing two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals. GT will be keen to reclaim the first spot in the IPL table without Hardik Pandya. Hardik won't feature for GT today because he is unwell. On the other hand, KKR will be keen to end Gujarat Titans' dominance and register their second victory in the IPL 2023.
One of the two teams to boast an unbeaten record so far, defending champions Gujarat Titans take on Kolkata Knight Riders in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. GT defeated Delhi Capitals in their previous match, after having kicked off their title defense with a win against the Chennai Super Kings. Kane Williamson has been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament, and his replacement Dasun Shanaka is unlikely to feature against KKR on Sunday.
