Kevin van Veen says Rangers are still interested in signing him from Groningen, even though he 'rejected' a move to Ibrox in the summer.
The Dutch striker was a sensation for Motherwell last season with 29 goals in 44 games and was linked with a move to Rangers under Michael Beale before his move home to the Netherlands took hold.
He made the switch to Groningen in the Dutch second tier but it hasn't all gone to plan. He had a burst of goals in September and October but lost his place in the side towards the end of last year and was granted special leave in December following the birth of his daughter.
He's back now and hoping to force his way in to face Bochum in a mid-season friendly on Saturday. And Van Veen has been speaking to local media where he directly addressed apparent interest from Rangers.
