Kevin Pietersen is celebrating his 42nd birthday and the England cricket legend has cheekily asked Chelsea to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United as a birthday present.
Pietersen is a Chelsea fan and counts club legends Frank Lampard, John Terry and Ashley Cole as friends. The former England captain also used the club's facilities during his career while recovering from an Achilles injury.
And Pietersen wants the Blues to go out and sign Ronaldo this summer, after reports emerged that new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly met with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.
According to the Athletic, the pair discussed Ronaldo's future and a potential move to Stamford Bridge. Taking to Twitter, Pietersen urged Chelsea to get the deal done, writing: "All I want for my birthday is @Cristiano signing for @ChelseaFC".
