Kejuaraan Internasional Para Bulutangkis Bergulir di Solo

Pertandingan para bulutangkis berlangsung di Solo. Pesertanya sebanyak 121 atlet dari 10 negara. Ajang ini bertajuk HYDROPLUS Indonesia Para Badminton International 2024.

Pertandingan bergulir di Edutorium Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Solo, Jawa Tengah, mulai 17 hingga 22 September 2024.

22 nomor bakal dipertandingan. Rinciannya terdiri tunggal maupun ganda di sektor WH 1, WH 2, SL 3, SL 4, SU 5, hingga SS 6. "Dengan mengusung tema #KeepUpTheSpirit, kami berharap para atlet yang berpartisipasi dapat bertanding dengan semangat juang dan energi positif dalam perjalanannya menuju podium tertinggi di turnamen ini," kata Group Brand Head HYDROPLUS, Yose Moriza, dalam keterangan pers.

Federasi bulutangkis dunia (BWF) meningkatkan status turnamen ini menjadi Grade 2 Level 2 dari semula Grade 2 Level 3. Kompetisi yang turut didukung oleh Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation ini juga menyediakan total hadiah USD 10ribu atau lebih dari Rp 150 juta. "Seperti kita tahu, para badminton merupakan cabang olahraga yang memberikan kejayaan bagi Indonesia di panggung dunia.

The 29-year-old from Haryana, who secured a historic gold medal in the SL3 class at the Paris Paralympics, said para shuttlers needed to be treated on par with their able-bodied counterparts.
