The face of football coverage for CBS Sports, 43-year-old Abdo has been the face of the stateside UEFA Champions League Today show since 2020, appearing alongside legends of the game in Micah Richards, Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher.

She studied at the Christ the King School and Withington Girls' School before moving to Spain at the age of 17 while learning the language and taking her high school diploma.
She returned to her hometown soon after and completed a degree in European languages at the University of Salford, while also studying translation and interpreting at the University of Malaga.
