Former Liverpool player Jamie Redknapp believes Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has overtaken Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League's best midfielder.

Odeegard scored the third and final goal as the Gunners secured a comfortable victory over Fulham on Sunday, with the London outfit restoring their five-point lead over City at the top of the table.

The 24-year-old has now registered 10 goals and six assists in the top-flight this season. De Bruyne, meanwhile, has managed four goals and 13 assists in the Premier League this term, with the Belgian ace leading the league in assists.

While it is the City man who has recorded more goal contributions so far this campaign, Redknapp feels the Arsenal midfielder has taken over the mantle of being the best creator. ALSO READ: Man City's next six Premier League fixtures compared with title rivals Arsenal "Right now he’s number one.
