Jack Carlin was caught up in a dramatic last-lap crash during the Olympic men's keirin final, marking a day of unfortunate events for Team GB at the velodrome on the final day in Paris.
The 27-year-old Paisley cycling star was floored after a nasty three-man collision. And the crash saw Carlin miss out on completing the medal set from the Paris Games.
He was part of the team that won silver in the men's team sprint and he picked up bronze in the individual sprint. The race was won by Dutchman Harrie Lavreysen ahead of Australia pair Matthew Richardson and Matthew Glaetzer.
Having already equalled his medal haul of team sprint silver and individual sprint bronze from Tokyo 2020, Carlin was going for gold in the men's keirin.
