ITV schedule shake up sees This Morning and Good Morning Britain taken off air this week as Women's World Cup begins

This Morning and Good Morning Britain will be taken off air next week as part of a major schedule shake up. ITV will instead be showing the FIFA Women's World Cup as it gets underway in Australia and New Zealand.

This Morning will be in its usual slot of 10am to 12.30pm from Monday to Wednesday before it is taken off air on Thursday as the tournament kicks off.

It will then return on Friday, with presenters Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond at the helm. Lorraine will host a bumper edition of her show from 9am on Thursday with an extra 15 minutes added to her slot ahead of the Australia vs Republic of Ireland coverage kicking off at 10.15am.

Loose Women will also be cancelled on Thursday, with ITV switching over to ITV Lunchtime at 1.30pm straight after coverage of the match.
