The pre-tournament championship will end on August 20.Meanwhile, world basketball ruling body, FIBA,has informed participants in the competition of the withdrawal of Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda from the tournament.FIBA said it was informed by Congolese and Ugandan basketball associations of their decision not to participate in the tournament, adding: “FIBA will investigate and assess the matter to determine any potential disciplinary measures.“As a result, in the Group A of the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2023, Nigeria will be played with two teams, Senegal, and Mali The Group B will be played with three teams, Cameroon, Guinea and Tunisia.“The teams from each group will play against each other in a single round-robin format.
