Harry Maguire has admitted he was delighted to score the matchwinner for Manchester United against FC Copenhagen and he also vowed to kick on after a difficult period in his career.
Erik ten Hag said the game against Copenhagen was a must-win for United, but the away side looked like the better team from the first whistle and they hit the post just a few minutes into the contest.
United's first-half performance was poor and the decision was made to replace Sofyan Amrabat at half-time with Christian Eriksen, who immediately made an impact and provided the team with control in midfield. It was Eriksen's cross that fashioned the opportunity for Maguire and his goal looked to be the matchwinner until Scott McTominay conceded a penalty in the last seconds of the four minutes of stoppage time.
