Iceland to begin closing stores across the UK next week - with Marks and Spencer to follow

Supermarket giant Iceland is set to close stores across the UK next week. The frozen food retailer has announced several of its stores will be shutting their doors for good.

The news comes after several other retailers announced store closures. New Look, Boots, B&Q and TK Maxx are all shutting shops.

Banking giants Lloyds and Halifax are also set to shut banks, while Wetherspoons and Byron Burger are closing some chains. These are the stores set to close this year, according to reports in the Sun, with some due to shut as early as next week. Iceland is a major UK retailer with 500 branches of the supermarket chain nationwide and a further 153 outlets of their Food Warehouse brand.
