Manchester United could get an answer this week on what club Ajax and Argentina centre-back Lisandro Martínez is going to join, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old has been linked with both clubs throughout the summer. In a tweet put out by Romano this week, he has stated that Erik ten Hag wants United to move quickly on a deal for Martínez, with the new Dutch manager wanting his former centre-back to make the move to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, the same tweet also states that Arsenal are still working on a deal for the seven-time Argentina international, suggesting that Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his backline this summer.

Martínez, who has been valued at £43m by Ajax, has been pushing to leave the Amsterdam club, and he has been very clear about this.
