England play their first match since the World Cup as they face Italy in Naples on Thursday night, with Gareth Southgate's men starting their journey to Euro 2024.

They face defending Euros Champions Italy, with Roberto Mancini's side having beaten the Three Lions in the final of the last tournament in 2021.

Italy also beat England last year in the Nations League, with their 1-0 win in Milan in September relegating England from their Nations league group.

However, England responded well to that tough run of results at the World Cup and were narrowly beaten by France in the quarter finals, with the eventual finalists running out 2-1 winners.
