It's set to be a very rainy day in Greater Manchester today - with a yellow Met Office weather warning in force. Heavy downpours are forecast for much of our region this morning (Wednesday).

According to the Met Office, they are expected to last until at least lunchtime. But there won't be much let off, as light showers are forecast throughout the afternoon before more heavy downpours later this evening.

The heavy rain is then expected to fall into the early hours of tomorrow before cloudy and sunny conditions set in at around 8am.
