Greater Manchester to enjoy sunnier weekend after days of downpours

manchestereveningnews.co.uk

Following a few days of pouring rain and dreary clouds, Greater Manchester will soon be hit with some much-needed sunshine. Conditions are set to get much warmer over the weekend, with the Met Office predicting more frequent sunny intervals throughout.

This is especially good news for those wanting to head into town over the weekend to either watch the Manchester Marathon or Grand National.

On Saturday, conditions will begin to improve with temperatures peaking as high as 13C. From the start of the morning, temperatures will be relatively cold, fluctuating between 4C and 5C before steadily rising as the day progresses. However, warmer and more sunny conditions will spell out bad news for those suffering from hay fever as the pollen count is expected to be high throughout the whole day.
