Greater Manchester car park littered with potholes slammed as 'utter disgrace'

A resident in Bury says she is frustrated with the local council after complaining about potholes at a car park for more than three years.

Myrna Marks, 89, said the car park in Prestwich, off Bury New Road, is plagued with pot holes and uneven surfaces and she is ‘getting nowhere’ with the council after requesting they fix it.

Myrna says she uses the car park to get to Prestwich Health Centre and when she is visiting the local shops. She said she struggles to walk on the ‘broken’ pavement and has issues navigating around whilst using her wheelchair. I’ve been complaining for a number of years now but nothing seems to be done about it. “It’s a very big car park and is used by hundreds of people every day, but the pavement is broken on both sides of the road.
