Getafe call for 'respect' towards their players following Mason Greenwood chants

La Liga club Getafe have called for an end to 'insulting chants' aimed at their players after opposition supporters directed songs at Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood joined Getafe on transfer deadline day after he was suspended by United in January 2022 amid allegations of attempted rape, assault and coercive control.

The Crown Prosecution Service, back in February this year, confirmed that all charges against the forward had been dropped. Greenwood has always denied the allegations.

United announced after an investigation they would help the player find a move away from the Reds and secured the forward a loan switch to Spain this summer.
