Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold admits he made the 'ultimate decision' that Mason Greenwood should continue his career elsewhere following his summer exit.

Greenwood, 22, joined Spanish side Getafe on a season-long loan deal on the final day of the summer transfer window after United announced he would not return to the squad following an internal investigation into the allegations made against him on social media in January 2022.

United opened its own review into the events after the Crown Prosecution Service announced in February it had dropped charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control against the forward.
