Gautam Gambhir will face a stern Test as Indian cricket team when the side begins a long Test season, starting with a match against Bangladesh on September 19.

Gambhir took charge from a short Tour of Sri Lanka last month. After that the Indian cricket team is long break. However, starting from the third week of September, India will play Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia in back-toback series.

Ahead of the series, Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir had a fun interaction on the sidelines of Delhi Premier League T20.

In a video posted by Delhi Premier League, Gambhir was asked to name cricketers based on one word. Here are Gambhir's answers… Badshah: Yuvraj Singh.

Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has shared his views on Gautam Gambhir's tenure as head coach of the Indian team thus far. Gambhir took over the reigns in July this year, replacing T20 World Cup-winning head coach Rahul Dravid. The former India opener took charge with a big reputation, having mastermined Kolkata Knight Riders' Indian Premier League triumph earlier this year. In his first Test incharge of the team, India hammered Bangladesh by 280 runs in Chennai last week. However, Tamim feels its too early to judge Gambhir.
Gautam Gambhir just tasted his first success in Tests as Indian cricket team coach. After Rahul Dravid guided the team to 2024 T20 World Cup triumph, the onus is now on Gambhir to take the team forward. After the Sri Lanka limited overs tour, the Indian cricket team has now started a long Test season. After the ongoing Bangladesh Test series, India will play New Zealand and Australia. Ravichandran Ashwin will be a crucial cog in India's wheel in that journey. 
The Indian cricket team completely outplayed Bangladesh to register a mammoth 280-run victory in the first Test match in Chennai on Sunday. Chasing a target of 515, Bangladesh never looked in the hunt as they were bowled out for 234. Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the Indian bowlers as he took 6 wickets for 88 runs. It was also a special win for head coach Gautam Gambhir as it was his maiden Test victory in charge. Gambhir took to social media to post a special message for the team following the win as he wrote - "A fantastic start! Well done boys!".
India pacer Akash Deep, playing in only his second Test, had to suffer an unfortunate blow. The 27-year-old showed confidence with the bat on Day 2, adding a cameo to the Indian total. Deep contributed 17 off just 30 balls, hitting four brilliant boundaries along the way. However, he also had to suffer a painful hit, as a misdirected throw from Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud hit him right on his backside. Soon after, it appeared as if India coach Gautam Gambhir was in a fit of laughter at the incident.
