Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff has been named as the new head coach of the England Lions. The appointment comes after the former all-rounder returned to cricket by working with the England white-ball team.
He also coached The Hundred outfit Northern Superchargers in this year's competition. The ex-Lancashire CCC and England cricketer has, recently, been on our TV screens with his wholesome hit show Field of Dreams, where he took a group of young cricket players from his hometown of Preston on a tour of India to show how sport can change their lives.
The popular show has already been commissioned for a third series with filming starting already. The incident resulted in the programme's cancellation by the BBC, for the foreseeable, with Flintoff sustaining serious injuries including broken ribs and facial injuries.
