Brits heading to Greece on holiday this week have been warned of strikes causing disruption in the country. The UK Foreign Office has issued an update for UK travellers as transport and healthcare are set to be impacted by the industrial action.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) warned that there could be “possible disruption to public transport and health services” today, September 21.

It comes as a general strike has been called in Greece, which began at midnight this morning and will last until midnight tonight.

Holidaymakers travelling today have been urged to check with their transport provider to see if their services are going ahead.
