Five Man City players with a point to prove on international duty

Pep Guardiola had one clear message for his Manchester City players as they begin international duty this week: don't get injured.

It's a familiar instruction, and one that Guardiola often worries about as City cannot control the fitness of their players when they are away on international duty.

City have at least 14 games left this season, which will rise to 18 if they get to two finals, and Guardiola will need all of his players at the top of their possible fitness levels if the Blues are to win a treble.

Guardiola will also hope for some of his out-of-form players to use the two international fixtures to get some much-needed minutes and play their way back into form and boost his selection options when the domestic fixtures resume.
