Preston North End supporters waxed lyrical about Manchester United loanee Alvaro Fernandez after he grabbed two assists on his first start for the club to help them beat Huddersfield Town 4-1 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

A constant threat down the left side, Fernandez, who joined Preston on a season-long loan deal last month, set up Alistair McCann for each of his two goals in the space of just ten first-half minutes.
