Everton could look to sign PSV star Cody Gakpo if they lose Anthony Gordon, according to journalist Simon Phillips. With Gordon being heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, Frank Lampard might have to start considering a replacement and Phillips reckons that Gakpo is a possibility.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton are interested in Gakpo, who’s been linked with several Premier League clubs this summer.

Manchester United appeared to be in the driving seat for the £38m-rated wide man, but with the Red Devils now pursuing a deal for Ajax ace Antony, David Ornstein has claimed that there interest in Gakpo has since ‘cooled‘.

That could open the door for Everton, who already need to add firepower to their squad following Richarlison’s move to Tottenham, and could be in even greater need of forward players with doubts over Gordon’s future.
