Erik ten Hag has set his sights on American midfielder Taylor Booth as an alternative to Frenkie de Jong, according to reports.
The Manchester United manager is expected to prioritise midfield reinforcements this summer, with interest in the likes of Jude Bellingham and De Jong hinting at the profile of player he wants.
Both look set to be out of reach this summer, however, with the former closing in on Real Madrid while the latter is set to stay at Barcelona.
As such, the Reds boss will be forced to look elsewhere and Fichajes reports Ten Hag is keen on FC Utrecht sensation Booth. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant season in the Netherlands with two goals and three assists from 21 appearances in the Eredivisie.
