Manchester Airport has announced two new routes which will launch next month, serving passengers who are seeking winter sun or those who want to see the Northern Lights.

easyJet will operate flights to Djerba in Tunisia and Akureyri in Iceland from November, both brand-new destinations for the airport.

Currently no other UK airport outside of London flies to either destination, offering customers in the North West a unique travel opportunity.

Twice weekly flights to both destinations will operate from Manchester Airport’s Terminal 1. The Djerba flights, which get underway on Monday 11 November, will operate on Mondays and Friday, while flights to Akureyri, in the north of Iceland, will run on Tuesdays and Saturdays from Tuesday 12 November.
