It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Dumfries pool, as both A and B teams narrowly missed out on 11-person national titles.

The Super 11’s, run by the Scottish Pool Association involve the best 11- person teams from across Scotland, playing across four divisions across four different weekends.

The Dumfries B team, playing in Division One for the first time following promotion last year, travelled to Pettycur Bay resort in Fife over the weekend of February 23 to 25.

The team came through a strong group stage, and overcame Arbroath, Ayr & District and Whitburn in the knockout stage, before being beaten 6-3 by a strong Thurso team in what was an exciting final.
