Dimitar Berbatov sends message to Casemiro amid Manchester United transfer 'regret' rumours

manchestereveningnews.co.uk

Former striker Dimitar Berbatov is backing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro to rediscover his form following an underwhelming start to the season.

The Brazilian, who joined United from Real Madrid in August last year, was exceptional in his debut season at Old Trafford, playing a key role in the club's resurrection under Erik ten Hag.

He was often the glue in United's midfield and provided the defensive presence in the engine room that had been missing for several years.

The 31-year-old, however, has not been at the races so far this term, despite the fact he is the club's leading goalscorer with four goals to his name so far.
