Dermot O'Leary appeared as stunned as Alison Hammond when she was 'proposed to' live on This Morning. The duo were back together at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Friday (September 22) after they both had previous stints fronting the show this week with Holly Willoughby.
It was an exciting start to their stint together as they were joined by former Spurs footballer Allan Cockram who was live in the studio to chat about his post-professional career coaching the Brentford Penguins - the UK’s only football team for children with Down’s Syndrome.
Speaking about the team, Allan said: "All these amazing kids have different needs and this became something bigger than I ever dreamed of.
What you see is what you get and I have an open door policy, I haven’t turned away any kid. We have 32 kids now, and we train every Sunday morning and it’s a special place for the parents to come and connect too.
