Alan Burrows will take part in Aberdeen’s search for a new manager – despite not starting in his new role as chief exec for another three weeks.
The Motherwell chief was announced as the incoming Pittodrie big wig last week after confirming he was stepping down from his long-serving role at his boyhood club earlier this year.
The Dons have been seeking a new boss since sacking Jim Goodwin in January following a 6-0 mauling away to Hibs, hot on the heels of an embarrassing Scottish Cup fourth round exit against West of Scotland Premier League side Darvel.
Now Pittodrie chairman Dave Cormack has issued an update on how the recruitment process is going. The Aberdeen-born businessman insists it’s progressing well, while also hitting out at rumours he claims are wide of the mark regarding who’s in the frame for the hot seat.
