Jim Goodwin has blasted a minority of 'idiots' in the Aberdeen support who allegedly hit him with missiles during his first game in charge of Dundee United.
The Irishman was sacked as manager by the Dons five weeks ago and was in the opposite dugout as Barry Robson's side won 3-1 against the Tangerines on Premiership duty.
But the former Pittodrie boss has claimed that sections of the travelling Aberdeen support hit him with coins and food and drink, admitting it was something that left him gutted on his first Dundee United matchday .
Goodwin told Sportsound: "It is disappointing to be honest. I wasn't expecting a warm reaction as when you get sacked from a club, the finger of blame is at the manager and fans aren't slow in letting you know that.
