Darren Moore has landed a long-term target, with Akin Famewo completing his move from Norwich City to Sheffield Wednesday and becoming the sixth signing of the summer.

Famewo was a target for the Owls last summer and, as reported by Yorkshire Live, was still on the club's radar 12 months later.

And Wednesday pounced, capturing the 23-year-old left-footer on a permanent deal. The fee is undisclosed. Famewo will now link-up with his new teammates ahead of this Friday's friendly with Harrogate Town and will travel with the squad to Portugal next week.

He boasts League One experience, arriving on the back of a year on loan at Charlton Athletic. Famewo is comfortable playing on the left side of central defence or at left-back, so will provide some crucial versatility for Moore.
