Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has shared the struggle behind some of the most emotional scenes he has ever acted out in the ITV soap.

The actor, famed for playing David Platt, was reminded of the moment his character cradled his dying wife in heartbreaking scenes.

Back in 2016, David had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to Kylie Platt, played by Paula Lane, following a tragic stabbing on the cobbles.

Kylie had just announced her family's plans to move to Barbados to live with her sister, Becky, after she killed ex Callum Logan as he was attacking sister-in-law Sarah.
