Monaco remain interested in a summer move for Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumare, with Brendan Rodgers' side standing firm on their asking price.

The Frenchman arrived at City last summer, but failed to adapt to the tempo of Premier League football in his first season in England The 23-year-old played a total of 30 times in all competitions last season but was left out of the squad entirely for the final four league games of the campaign.

That has prompted reports that he is one of the players that City are willing to cash in on this summer to emerge. Monaco have made their move for the player, with the French side said to have seen a €15 million offer turned down by City.

It is reported that the club are looking for a fee in the region of €20m (around £17m) this summer. City paid around £18m to bring him to the King Power Stadium from Lille this time last year.
