Christian Eriksen provides injury update after return to Manchester United training

Christian Eriksen hopes to be back on the pitch for Manchester United soon after returning to training on Monday. Eriksen has been out of action since suffering a knee injury during the 1-0 win over Luton Town on November 11.

The Danish international has missed seven games in the period since but kicked off this week with his first day in full first-team training.

Following Sunday's hard-fought 0-0 draw at Liverpool, United have almost a full week to prepare for Saturday's home game against West Ham - a rare luxury at this point of the year.

It means Eriksen could be available for selection come the weekend and the 31-year-old is itching to get involved.
