Irked Chris Sutton has roasted Celtic star Sead Haksabanovic as he branded the winger "an idiot" after his social media jibe.

The Montenegro international has failed to make his mark at Parkhead since being signed by Ange Postecolgou last summer but hit out at the lack of game time he has received under Brendan Rodgers so far this term, following the draw with St Johnstone.

The 24-year-old pulled no punches in an Instagram post which pulls no punches. He added a black and white picture with the caption: "If they don't see your value maybe you're not in the right place." The attacker was met with a heated response from sections of the Celtic support for his comments after a lacklustre spell in Glasgow's east end since joining from Rubin Kazan.

And Sutton put the wide man in his crosshairs when speaking on the Record Celtic Podcast. The Celtic Park hero was asked it Hakasbanovic's comments would have been allowed by Parkhead teammates in his day.
