Sead Haksabanovic has been sunning it up abroad despite telling his national boss he couldn't play for Montenegro. The Celtic winger hasn't majorly endeared himself to Parkhead fans in recent weeks, as a loaded social media post sparked the ire of the Hoops contingent and boss Brendan Rodgers who admits he was 'surprised' the winger had made the claims.
Haksabanovic posted the message: "If they don't see your value maybe you're not in the right place," before he was shipped off to Stoke City on loan on deadline day after a lack of game time at Celtic.
The 24-year-old then declared to tell his national team boss Miodrag Radulovic that he wouldn't be turning up for crucial Euro 2024 qualifiers against Lithuania and Bulgaria despite being chosen in the 33-man squad.
He instead returned to Glasgow after settling in to life at the Potters but as the Montenegrins drew 2-2 last night, denting their hopes of qualification, Haksabanovic wasn't in Scotland.
