Celtic star Liel Abada could be set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury while away with Israel. Abada has been a key man for the Hoops so far this season, starting four of their five domestic games and stepping into the void left behind by Jota.
He was called up by Alon Hazan for their Euro 2024 qualifying double-header with Romania and Belarus but he pulled up in training with an injury and is now expected to miss their game on Saturday.
Boss Alon Hazan said he felt a "pinch in his muscle,” and it's reported he is to be sent away for a scan. It's unclear how much of Celtic's season he will miss if any but it's an unfortunate time for Brendan Rodgers to be dealt a setback with the dawn of their Champions League campaign on the horizon.
They face Feyenoord on Tuesday, September 19 just three days after their return to league action against Dundee. Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.
