Chelsea manager Graham Potter would ‘love to bring’ attacking midfielder Leandro Trossard to the club with him, according to journalist Simon Phillips. Potter has arrived from Brighton and Hove Albion after Thomas Tuchel was surprisingly sacked following a slow start to the season and could already have one eye on the January transfer window.

Trossard was linked with the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle over the summer following an impressive three-year spell with Brighton.

And Phillips previously informed GiveMeSport that the Belgium international was a player already on Chelsea’s radar, raising the possibility of him following in Potter’s footsteps.

Since arriving at the Amex Stadium via an £18 million switch from Genk, Trossard has has put up tallies of eight, 10 and 11 goal contributions in his three full campaigns.
