Chelsea target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on his way for a medical, according to journalist Simon Phillips. The journalist has confirmed that the ex-Arsenal frontman is expected to seal his move to Stamford Bridge before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Wesley Fofana’s move to Chelsea took their summer spending past the £240m mark, but Raheem Sterling remains their only attacking addition.
Chelsea have seen the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner and Lukaku all leave this window and have so far been unable to replace them.
But they’re finally on the verge of providing support for the likes of Sterling and Kai Havertz at the top end of the pitch, with The Athletic claiming that Chelsea are closing to an agreement with Barcelona for Aubameyang.
