Chelsea are set to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Barcelona man will fly into London later this afternoon ahead of signing on the dotted line at Stamford Bridge, according to journalist Simon Phillips. The Blues have not been afraid to splash the cash this summer, having parted with more than £240million since the transfer window reopened, but head coach Thomas Tuchel could secure further fresh faces ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea have agreed a deal with Barcelona which will see the west Londoners fork out £12million for Aubameyang and Marcos Alonso head in the opposite direction.

According to The Athletic, the striker has also reached an agreement in principle over personal terms and been granted authorisation to travel to London to complete the move.

The report suggests Aubameyang, a 63-cap Gabon international, has been offered a two-year contract which contains the option of being extended by a further 12 months based on the percentage of performances he makes in his second year at the club.
