Chelsea: £150k-a-week star now has 'chance' to be regular at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has a chance to be a regular at Stamford Bridge this season, says journalist Simon Phillips. The 26-year-old has not always been a part of the Blues’ plans, but he has been getting a lot of game time of late.

The Telegraph recently reported that AC Milan showed a strong interest in signing Loftus-Cheek over the summer. The 6 ft 3 Englishman remained at Stamford Bridge, though, and now looks to have an important role in the squad after loan spells at Fulham and Crystal Palace in previous seasons.

This term, he has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, playing in midfield and at right wing-back. Loftus-Cheek will now be hoping he can stay fit after picking up quite a few injuries over the last few campaigns.

Phillips thinks Loftus-Cheek could become a regular for Chelsea this season. Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "With Ruben Loftus-Cheek's current form, I think he has a fighting chance of being a regular in that midfield and can give Chelsea that other needed option until January or the summer."
