Despite house prices soaring in most areas, there are certain parts of the region where you can still find a bargain home. In the boroughs of Bolton, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside and Wigan, there are properties on the market for much less than the average house price.

The cheapest place is the town of Farnworth which has an average house price of £161,402. This is followed by Heaton, Blackrod, Kearsley and Little Lever where the average cost of a property ranges from £187,000 to £195,000.
