Charles Leclerc took to Twitter on Sunday to share his congratulations with Max Verstappen as the Dutchman sealed the world title.
The 2022 Formula 1 World Championship title race proved a lot more straightforward for Verstappen in the end compared to 2021, with him winning the crown with four races to spare, having been able to as early as Singapore the weekend before last.
Indeed, he and his Red Bull car have been an irresistible package this season and no-one has been able to stop them from dominating this year.
There were, of course, hopes that Ferrari and Leclerc might be able to take the fight to Verstappen and Red Bull but, whilst the F1-75 is very quick and Leclerc is a massively talented driver, they have not been able to reach the same level of consistently high performance and that is what has cost them.
