Celtic hero certain Ange Postecoglou wants Champions League crack more than EPL promised land

dailyrecord.co.uk

Jackie McNamara is convinced Ange Postecoglou has snubbed several top jobs in England because his heart is set on cracking the Champions League with Celtic.

The Hoops boss has been linked with numerous gigs down south in the last year – with 12 EPL managers bagged this season. Postecoglou’s name has been chucked in to the mix with the Leicester City job following the departure of former Celtic gaffer Brendan Rodgers.

But the Aussie has also been touted for positions at the likes of Everton, Brighton, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Spurs. Record Sport revealed this week Postecoglou wasn’t interested in jumping ship for the relegation threatened Foxes at this business end of the campaign but the attention on the former Socceroos leader is expected to remain.

McNamara is certain there has been strong interest from at least some of them – but he believes the Celts boss will stick around for the big stage next season.
