Avoiding a "mistake" against Celtic will be key to Feyenoord's chances of staying in Europe beyond Christmas. That's the view of former Dutch coach Aad de Mos who doesn't rate the Premiership champions' Champions League chances.
Brendan Rodgers' team landed a respectable group under the circumstances with Feyenoord joining Atletico Madrid and Lazio in their section.
Atleti are expected to win it, but second and third look up for grabs. And Celtic are hopeful of a run into the knockout stages - either in the Champions League or through dropping into the Europa.
Feyenoord are equally hopeful though and De Mos, who previously managed Ajax and PSV, fancies their chances of a run. He took in the Old Firm derby which saw Rodgers' team beat Rangers over the weekend and said before the game that swerving defeat in Glasgow could be the piece of the jigsaw Feyenoord need to stay in the competition.
