Brian Laudrup reckons Scotland boss Steve Clarke must mastermind a way to stop Alejandro Balde - despite conceding Spain are yet to hit top form under Luis de la Fuente.

The Spain boss has ushered in a new era following a disappointing World Cup campaign with the new-look side to be built on the likes of Pedri and Gavi as they target top spot in Group A on route to Euro 2024.

They got off to the perfect start by seeing off Norway in a comfortable 3-0 victory as they look to rebuild the European heavyweights into contenders for the tournament in Germany.

But Clarke will hope to prove that Scotland can top the group with a victory over the Spanish at Hampden, however Laudrup reckons it would take an almost faultless performance to stun Balde and co.
