Simon Jordan doesn't see Brendan Rodgers as good fit for Celtic and can't see him "skulking" back to Scotland. Parkhead supremo Michael Nicholson and money man Chris McKay took a private jet out to Mallorca to hold talks with Rodgers on Saturday to discuss the Irishman coming back to Glasgow and replacing Ange Postecoglou.
Rodgers was stupidly successful in his first two-and-a-half year stint with the Celtic, winning every domestic competition he entered before departure and going unbeaten in his first campaign.
But fans were not happy at the way he left for Leicester City in February 2019. That lingering feeling is a problem manager and club, according to Jordan.
He also believes Rodgers will be asking for a bigger wage than Celtic should perhaps be paying, and that his final season in charge of the Foxes is what he should be judged on rather than past glories.
